Youth Entreprenural Challenge

Since the Spring of 2004, the Québec Government has implemented the Défi de l'entrepreneuriat jeunesse (Entrepreneurial Youth Challenge). This strategy aims to develop the entrepreneurial culture of young Québecers, as well as their entrepreneurial values and abilities.

In general, the objective of this measure is to prepare the next generation to confront the challenges that they will face during the 21st century and to encourage their participation in the socio-economic development of Québec.

This strategy is based on workshops, activities and conferences that are presented in the community schools in order to raise awareness among the youth regarding the importance of entrepreneurship to secure their future.

Also, the young entrepreneurs who are in the early stages of starting a business have access to plenty of resources that can help guide them in their process which includes over 80 youth entrepreneurial awareness officers in the Carrefour Jeunesse Emploi of Québec.
